of the
Fortezza.
Cars can
be
parked
nearby
and with
a little
extra
charge (
the
central
area is
not
reserved
for
parking,
as it is
allowed
only to
residents).

If you are
travelling by Car |
If you are
travelling by car
and you arrive from
the North, get out
at Firenze Impruneta
(not Firenze
Scandicci). If you
arrive from the
South, get out at
Firenze Impruneta.
As you get to the
exit of Firenze
Impruneta motorway,
you have to follow
the road indications
for Florence.
Leaving the
beautiful Certosa
Convent of Galluzzo
on your left, a road
sign will show you
are entering
Florence. Once you
get to the "Due
Strade" village,
after a crossroad
turn right into Via
del Gelsomino and
after a few metres
turn left into the
avenue of Poggio
Imperiale so as to
get to Porta Romana
square. This square
can be easily
noticed thanks to
the ancient doors
and walls of the old
town of Florence.
Drive along half of
the round square and
then keep going
straight on for
about 2 minutes
driving along
different avenues
whose names
progressively are:
viale Petrarca,
viale Aleardi and
viale Raffaello
Sanzio.
Remember: they may
look like one only
avenue! At the end
of the last one, on
the corner with Pier
Vettori square you
will find Residenza
Oltrarno on your
left. |

If you are
travelling by Train |
From Santa Maria Novella central railway station you should take bus n.12 leaving from Stazione Parcheggio (just outside the station on the left). The bus will take you to our B&B in a few minutes. Your bus stop is "Sanzio" in Pier Vettori square.You can get back to Santa Maria Novella railway station either by bus n.6 or n.13.
If you prefer to walk...
Getting to our B&B from Santa Maria Novella railway station is simple and fast. This choice is perfect for those coming to Florence with a trolley or some light luggage.
As you leave the train station on your right ( Via Luigi Alamanni side), head for Via Santa Caterina da Siena.
Get along via dell'Albero and via Maso Finiguerra and reach Amerigo Vespucci bridge; cross it, go straight through via Sant 'Onofrio, turn right and head for Porta San Frediano.
After the door, walk down via Pisana until you reach Piazza Pier Vettori . Then, turn left and after a few metres you will reach n.2 Viale Raffaello Sanzio.
From Firenze Rifredi railway station walk a few metres as far as Giuliani 04 bus stop and take bus n.28 leading to Palazzo dei Congressi.
Get off at Stazione Santa Maria Novella Abside, cross the square and go to Stazione Scalette bus stop. Alternatively, you can catch a train stopping at Santa Maria Novella railway station and then take bus n.12 following the indications above.
From Campo di Marte railway station take bus n.6 at the Scipione Ammirato bus stop towards Torregalli hospital.
Get off at Santa Maria al Pignone after about 20 minutes, then walk along Felice Cavallotti road as far as Pier Vettori square. Cross the sqaure and on your left you will find 1 viale Raffaello Sanzio.

Diretion Florence

From the Florence
airport, we suggest
you to catch bus
n.55 which is a
shuttle bus (Volainbus)
going to and coming
from the airport.
Volainbus takes you
to the central
Railway Station (SMN)
without intermediate
stops. The cost of
the ticket is € 5,00
and you can either
buy it on the bus or
at the Ataf ticket
office in Piazza
della Stazione
(Station Square).
Florence airport
Amerigo Vespucci is
only 5 km away from
the town centre and
a taxi cab service
is always available.
Taxi cab rates are
about € 20/25 from
the airport to the
town centre.
Diretion Pisa
airport
We suggest you to
catch the shuttle
bus Terravision
going to and coming
from Pisa airport.
Terravision takes
you to the Santa
Maria Novella
central Railway
Station without
intermediate stops.
You'll can reach
